People walking in train station

Are you simply too busy?

Today I am going to share with you one of my biggest frustrations, and that is people who constantly say – they are too busy!

How often have you heard the phrase “I’m too busy”” Bullshit!

Too often I hear people complaining about how little time they have and how much time their singular job occupies.

Reality check! that one job is about 38 hours a week maybe 50 on the rare occasion. There are 168 hours in a week so being busy is just aa mindset!

If people focused on using their time to address meaningful matters, then that would change their outlook and their circumstances.

You are time, use it and stop complaining about it. The first step is to cut out all the things that don’t serve you and your purpose.  As a start I recommend to my clients to eliminate all social media, TV shows, Foxtel or Netflix.  These are distractions, the constant scrolling of your device is a distraction and trying to stay up to date with the latest series makes you a slave.

The other big point is that if you want something bad enough you will make the time. You will make sacrifices and you will do everything in your power to attain it.  So, stop making excuses about being busy and not having enough time! If this is you then your mindset is flawed and you are bullshitting yourself and others.  You’re setting yourself up for failure! It’s a vicious cycle most people create for themselves.

This is no different to all those people who can say NO!!!! I mean seriously whats we the addition of saying YES to everyone! If it doesn’t serve you let it go!!!

I’m here to tell you that this vicious cycle can be broken and broken quickly!

Momentum is a beautiful thing, once you start and persist your small victories grow into bigger ones.

  • Know your purpose and have goals.
  • Eliminate the procrastination and prioritise each day.
  • Focus on what’s important rather than what’s urgent.
  • Implement the B.O.S. and double your time while making everyone more accountable.

The more ground you make the more battles you win.  The more battles you win the closer you will be to getting everything you need to achieve your purpose.

You will become less busy because you are achieving your goals, and this creates fulfilment and meaning!

Break the cycle and live with purpose.
